Following wins in Limburg last year, Melexis is now winning prizes in West Flanders at Randstad Regional Award
Melexis Has the Best Score for the Category of High-Quality Training Course.
Ieper, 13 October 2016 - The Randstad Regional Award is being awarded this year for the first time in the province of West Flanders. Melexis received a Globe for the best score in the field of high-quality training courses. The company has also been chosen as one of the top three employers in the region for the category of companies with minimum 200 and maximum 1,000 employees. After winning in Limburg last year, the company has been named one of the top three most attractive employers for the second year in a row. With its production site in Ieper, Melexis has been creating innovative chips for the automotive sector for 27 years that make vehicles greener, safer and more comfortable. Every new car worldwide has an average of seven Melexis chips built into it. The company is also active in the medical, industrial and consumer markets. Melexis has more than 1,100 employees, including 350 in Belgium, divided between the Ieper and Tessenderlo sites.
Globe for high-quality training courses
Randstad asked 1,700 respondents to define their criteria when choosing a company for which to work. They also asked whether the respondents knew the forty companies concerned, whether they would like to work for them, and how the companies score on ten criteria, including high-quality training courses. The Randstad Regional Award, which was set up in 2013, is being awarded this year for the first time in West Flanders. Melexis obtained the best score on the criterion high-quality solutions and for which it received a Globe.
Melexis in top three of most attractive West-Flanders employers
After winning first place last year in Limburg, the company has also been placed among the top three most attractive employers, in the category of companies with minimum 200 and maximum 1,000 employees.

The Randstad Regional Award is the younger brother of the Randstad Award, which focuses on companies with more than 1,000 employees in the national, private sector. The Randstad Regional Award has been awarded since 2013. The Ghent region was the first (chemical company Taminco), followed by the Antwerp region in 2014, (Studio 100) and the Limburg region in 2015, (Melexis). Now it is the turn of the West-Flanders region. The Regional Award was handed over on October 13 in Ter Eeste in Roeselare.
