Welcome to the fifth edition of Engineering Talks, organized by Melexis Bulgaria! Join us as we continue our mission to build and foster a strong engineering community in Bulgaria through this series of specialized events.

This session will be led by Geert De Smedt

Geert is a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Melexis with more than 16 years of experience at the company. He began his career as a Digital Designer, later advanced to Application Engineer, and for the past eight years has specialized as an Embedded Software Engineer. Over his current role, Geert has built a strong track record of delivering software solutions that have been key to Melexis' success in the semiconductor industry. Recognized for his results-driven mindset, he consistently achieves measurable outcomes, ensuring both technical excellence and business impact.

Melexis has implemented a fully automated environment to develop and release the embedded software for their products. This eco system covers all the steps in the firmware development V-cycle, from requirements gathering over software development, code validation and code testing to integration and finally qualification testing including automatic reporting and documentation generation.

This session focuses on the qualification testing and tooling but also touches briefly the evolutions in the other areas of the software design flow and what the future might bring.

Engineering Talks strives to create a platform for sharing knowledge and networking within the Bulgarian engineering community.
