Product description
The EVB90391 provides an easy way to connect the MLX90391 3D magnetometer IC to a microcontroller or measurement device.
Note that the MLX90391 operates at 1.8V or 3.3V, which means that when connecting it to a microcontroller, one needs to either use a 1.8V or 3.3V microcontroller, or use a level shifter in between.
Two different versions of the EVB are made:
- Breakout version (BK): The IC is mounted, together with a 100nF decoupling capacitor and 3 pull-up resistors. The five (“useful”) pins of the IC are directly routed to the 5-pin header footprint.
- DVKmagnetic version: The IC is mounted, together with a 100nF decoupling capacitor and 1 pull-up resistor. Two precision headers are mounted for compatibility with the DVKmagnetic (development kit for magnetic sensors). Note that the drill holes of these are smaller than the standard headers.
