Discrete absolute pressure sensor from 0 - 10..30 bar absolute - MLX90815

Product description

The MLX90815 discrete micromachined absolute pressure sensor has been designed for an optimal performance when sensing pressures from 0 to 10..30 bar absolute.

This pressure sensor is fully automotive qualified and can directly be used in both non corrosive and non aggressive media applications. For harsh media, our MLX90815 can be used in a fluid filled module design. The pressure sensor is a piezoresistive Wheatstone bridge on a membrane made with a silicon micromachining process. As pressure is applied on the membrane a differential voltage change is seen across the Wheatstone bridge outputs while a bias voltage is applied to the bridge inputs.

It offers an outstanding linearity with high sensitivity in a very compact design. Furthermore, this pressure sensor has a high stability and reliability, and has been qualified beyond automotive quality standards like AEC-Q100.

The Automotive Electronics Council (AEC) is an organisation that sets qualification standards for the supply of components in the automotive electronics industry.
