Smart LIN driver IC for DC, Stepper and BLDC motor (0.5 A)  -  MLX81350

Product description

The MLX81350 is a gen-4 LIN driver for small motors targeting automotive mechatronic applications at up to 5W.

The Gen4 brings greater cost efficiency, capacity and additional processing performance, all while maintaining full pin-to-pin compatibility with Gen3 using the same package.

This all-in-one LIN driver offers flash programmability, high robustness, and function density while reducing bill-of-materials (BoM) complexity. By integrating both analog and digital circuitry, it provides a true single-chip solution that is fully compliant with industry-standard for LIN slave nodes.

The MLX81350 enables small-footprint applications to control small BLDC, stepper and DC motors, using either sensored or sensorless field-oriented control (FOC) algorithms.

The MLX81350 is well-suited for

  • small Stepper / BLDC flap or valve, < 0.5Apk per phase
  • small DC flap / valve, or single-coil fan/pump, < 0.7Apk
