High speed factory trimmed linear Hall IC - MLX90290

Product description

The MLX90290 is a factory programmed very fast linear Hall sensor IC with a ratiometric analog output. Target applications are small stroke rotary, linear position sensor, AC and DC current sense applications and brushless DC motor commutation.

The linear Hall-effect sensor IC is compatible with circuits operating at 3.3VDC and 5VDC bias. Thermal compensation is available for position measurements with most common permanent magnets, such as SmCo and Ferrite. In current sensing applications, a version is available for 0ppm/°C. Several standard absolute sensitivities are available off-the-shelf.

For high volume applications custom versions may be created. Here, filtering, sensitivity and thermal compensation may be fully optimized by consulting the Melexis sales team.

The MLX90290 is offered in an industry standard 3-pin SIP (UA) package or 3-pin SOT (TSOT23) package. The 3-pin SIP with 1.27 mm pin-to-pin spacing is the standard option or alternatively a 2.54 mm pin-to-pin spacing, lead-formed version can be specified via the three digit option code.
