IMC-Hall®

IMC-Hall is a proprietary Integrated Magnetic Concentrator (IMC) technology that achieves the combined function of bending in-plane magnetic flux lines into vertical components measured with classic horizontal Hall plates available in standard wafer technology, as well as flux concentration to increase the signal.

With careful material selection and optimized manufacturing processes, the magnetic hysteresis can be minimized. IMC-Hall technology enables an efficient measurement of current flowing in underlying PCB traces or nearby current conducting busbars, in combination with U-shields to reduce the effects of crosstalk or stray fields. The unique arrangement provides the advantage of vertical stacking w/ a surface mount IC, solving mechanical assembly problems engineers have faced for a long time using Conventional Hall technology with C-cores.
