Melexis TPMS winner of the “2018 China Automobile & Parts Industry Developing & Innovation Award”
Melexis received the Developing & Innovation Award for its MLX91804, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) integrated circuit, at the China Automobile & Parts Awards. This event is organized annually by the international automotive trade magazine Automobile & Parts and took place in Shanghai on 17 September 2018.
The third-generation TPMS MLX91804 is being recognized for its leading performance advantages in low power design, RF Sensor Interface and MEMS as well as a high level of integration and a compact IC package design. The MLX91804 is 60% smaller and draws three times lower power (in sleep mode) than any competing solution available today. It incorporates a sophisticated microcontroller and an advanced pressure and acceleration sensing element, as well as energy efficient wireless transceivers for communication with the vehicle.
The awards gathered many outstanding enterprises and influential leaders from China’s automobile industry and included prestigious experts from the industry, university professors and senior editors as jury members.
